AND THEY'RE OFF!!! like a hurd of turtles!   Well, that's what they are. No ordinary turtles, these. Nope, led by Myrtle, The Turtle,they're SRRC Racin Turtles and the Ave's 2006 feature creatures. They welcome the addition of the half marathon "early turtles" to the list of Ave categories. But their real goal is to beat that silly rabbit, for after all, they are RACIN TURTLES! True, they're a bit behind the rabbit now (about 4 years behind our 2002 feature creature), but they are lean, mean and confident (and well read.) So confident are they, that they took time to welcome and give a rousing turtle cheer to the participants and volunteers in the 2006 Avenue of the Giants Marathon, Half, and 10K. Now where's that darn rabbit?
