Well, the 2007 Ave came to a successful conclusion. The post race work is now complete. It's time to gear up for the Ave '08, this year under the new directorship of Cindy Timek. On line reg and downloadable forms are available in the home page. Also, check out some new features on our web page. We still have YOURSPACE where you can send pics, poems, stories, and the like for publishing on this site. But now you can AVE BLOG to your heart's content; you can talk to fellow Avers on the AVE FORUM; or you can even map your favorite running course just about anywhere by clicking on ROUTE PLANNER Enjoy, and we'll be seeing you soon.

To answer some important questions: We do not provide shuttle service to the race site. (2) There are limited shower facilities (Campgrounds have coin operated ones. (3) Using any device requiring head phones increases the danger of injury to wearers or others, and our insurance won't cover such injuries; thus the ban. (4) The roads on which the race is run is far too narrow, bumpy, and thus crowded for strollers. For those seeking to carry young ones, we strongly suggest you walk the 10K.

We're becoming international with some entrants coming from Devon, England, Kenya, and Canada. Give a hearty welcome to these friends who have come so far to join in on the fun. Keep in touch for updates.
